Cure Me I'm Irish

Cookies for the 'Cure Me I'm Irish" Fundraiser at the UB Center for the Arts. It was the second year for this event that's part of a national mission to raise money for Childhood Cancer Research. Locally it's put on by Melina's White Light and Friends Benefiting the Neuroblastoma Alliance and in Memory of Melino Reniolo.

The Next Generation of 'The Cookie Project'

Welcome to the off-shoot of my 2010 project ...Can a Cookie Change The World. That was my first adventure into doing something meaningful and consistent for a cause - and it was awesome, and I actually did follow though on it .. perhaps with the exception of blogging regularly- but the important part ... the cookies - took precedence every week over everything else. The cookies came before house work, before work work, before family, before friends, before sleep, and sometimes before common sense of what was reasonable for what was essentially a volunteer hobby adventure.

And I'll admit, the weekly schedule, while a much welcomed distraction from the weather in January in February, proved to be a bit of a burden at times once the weather cleared on other obligations kicked in. And then in an instant it was over, just as it had started - sneaking out the back door without a lot of fan fare... I was both relieved and sad in the same instant - so now what?

Cookies for good, that's what!

What is "Cookies For Good?"

It's a way for you to get custom decorated cookies, biscotti, light cookies, specialty cookies or any variety of gourmet cookies for your private party, event or just your own enjoyment by making a tax deductible donation to a selected charity - like the Ride for Roswell, The Breast Cancer Fund and the American Diabetes Association (Tour De Cure). Delicious cookies and tax deductions!

I'm also welcoming requests for donations of cookies (from me, free of charge) to non-profit organizations or for fund raising events for charitable organizations.

Preference will be given according to my schedule so get your request in early, even if it's six or more months out. Most cookies can be shipped but you must also pay actual shipping and packaging costs - contact me for more information.

Please do not make any donation until your order has been confirmed by me. For private orders, once they are confirmed and on my schedule instructions will be provided regarding your donation. As a ball park, large, individually wrapped custom decorated cookies will typically run in the $1 - $3 per cookie range depending on style, size & complexity.

I'm not a pro, and I don't claim to be, but I can bake (and decorate) a good cookie. So for family & friends, and friends of friends if you don't feel like baking drop me a line and maybe I can do it for you - and in the meantime we'll both do some good too!
